have an issue with the stitch width assembly. She was in storage for a long while I started her up again she was working well. It was apparent she needed some small adjustments, and a full cleaning. After cracking her open and giving her the spa treatment, removing the motor and cleaning fifty year old goop from the inside and outside, I oiled her up and started putting things back. Here's the problem: The machine jams up completely when the stitch width is set any higher than 'straight stitch'. I've been carefully examining this for two days, and I'm completely STUMPED. I think it may have something to do with, or is in the vicinity of the Needle Bar Driving Arm Connecting Lever. But, as I said… Stumped. What could have possibly happened? Now I'm looking for a service/repair/adjustment manual. But I can't find anything beyond and owners manual 'beginners' manual that tells me how to change a presser foot, and what a 'feed dog' is, or "How to thread". <sigh> …So, anyone have ideas, or could someone direct me to an adjustment manual, either would be helpful.
