Sewing book suggestions? For women's clothing. Sewing Machines Parts and Sales in Los Angeles

Hi!

As I'm beginning to make more clothes for myself, I'm in need of a good sewing book that can provide instructions on how to alter basic sloper patterns to diversify my wardrobe a bit. I'm not very advanced so it would have to be somewhat easy to follow (step-by-step instructions preferred if possible).

Is there such a wonderful thing on the market? I'm in Sweden but as long the book is on amazon, I'm good.
