Serger help?! It keeps sewing to the base of the machin Sewing Machines Parts and Sales in Los Angeles

Hey guys! I’ve had my serger for a while now and I haven’t been able to solve this issue. My machine is properly threaded in order, but when I go to sew, the threads go around the metal base part of the machine and just clog up/break. (Er – around the feet that move, I suppose?) After I clean it up and try again (after rethreading), it just does it again. I’ve played with my tensions settings (a bit~ I’m scared to mess them up yet!), and just can’t figure it out. When I sew on fabric, it does the same thing and just creates a huge mess. UGH!

Does anyone have any ideas of what I’m doing wrong? 🙁 ANY suggestions are appreciated! I just want to use my serger and make some beautiful pieces!
