Sewing a button down .. In organza … HELP! Sewing Machines Parts and Sales in Los Angeles

Hi Threddit!
I got the bright idea to make [New Look 6232] in ivory silk organza for my boyfriend’s work Christmas party (to be work over a tank top!). This is both my first time constructing a button down, as well as my first time working in organza. Any sage wisdom on either of these would be beyond appreciated, specifically anything pertaining to buttonholes and finishing hems with this fabric. Thank you so much!
