Need help identifying a girls dress type! Sewing Machines Parts and Sales in Los Angeles

Hey fellow thredditors!

I am looking to sew a girls dress that was popular when I was younger… circa 90s (but probably popular before then). It was a pullover dress with a bit of ruching at the top with a recurring embroidery pattern (usually little people, animals, etc…) over the ruching. I remember my mom calling them “summer dresses”.

If anyone has an idea what these dresses are called, or at least have a picture, please let me know! Thanks!
