Multi-fabric box pleat skirt? Sewing Machines Parts and Sales in Los Angeles

I am teaching myself to sew and I want to make a skirt since I have an idea for one I would love, but I have not been able to find anything like it. So why not make it!

What I want to do is make a pleated a-line skirt (probably a box pleat) with 2-3 different fabrics.

I am thinking of the black, grey, and orange basic star wars patterns from here.

With grey or black being the main color, grey or black for the inside “back” of the pleat, and then orange for the side/”walls” of the pleat. so with no movement it is mostly a black and grey skirt, but then when you walk around there will be pops of orange.
