Any reason not to use walking foot on most projects? Sewing Machines Parts and Sales in Los Angeles

Hi guys,
I was wondering if there’s a massive limitation or drawback I’m not seeing when it comes to using a walking foot besides the fact it’s a bit slower? I’m working on a crepe wrap dress right now and the fabric has some slip to it so the first long side seam I sewed using a regular straight stitch presser foot resulted in uneven feeding. Excluding zippers, zig zags, specialty fabrics, etc- is there a reason not to just use the walking foot for the bulk of straight seams?
