I got my Singer in August, but I haven’t used it much. I made a dress in September, and a skirt in October, then put it into storage until January.
I got it out the other day, threaded the machine, and hemmed a cape with no issue. Then, a couple days later, I threaded a new bobbin, re-threaded the machine, and started a new project.
Every time I try to start, I get two or three stitches in and the machine jams, pulling the fabric into the machine below the needle. When I pull it out, there’s often extra thread looped into the compartment with the bobbin in it that I have to fish out.
This is my first machine and I’m pretty clueless. I’ve tried re-threading several times and checked to be sure the bobbin is going in the right direction, and I’ve changed the stitch length a couple times as well. Now its getting to a point where if I don’t get some work done soon I’ll be doing everything last minute before my event, or may even have to skip the party entirely.
