[Alteration Help] Love the dress, but the one shoulder Sewing Machines Parts and Sales in Los Angeles

I found my prom dress at Ross for fifty dollars. Really love the skirt and the slit up the side- it’s not too revealing but livens up the look!

My problem is the one shoulder. The strap is this weird opaque nude color with round silver beads–not sequins, but itty bitty round silver beads, like little disco balls.

I’m in love with every other part of the dress, but that one sleeve is really bugging me. I already am going to take in the bust a bit for a more secure fit. Would it be feasible to cut off the sleeve and replace it with one of a prettier fabric? Could I use the old sleeve as a pattern, and sew the new one on? Should I just not worry with it since it was so cheap?
