Mens handkerchief fabric and general sewing advice? Sewing Machines Parts and Sales in Los Angeles

Hi guys, I’d like to sew a men’s handkerchief! I have really basic knowledge about fabric and sewing. Design wise I like these models:

So of what I understand by looking at them, they are all very different. I will phrase my question for each one.

1. What kind of fabric is this besides cotton? Is there some special name for this? This is only a big piece of fabric sewn together right? Do you think there’s something between the two layers? And how did they make the edges “stand out” like bigger than the rest? I think this would be the easiest to sew.

2. That’s just one piece of cotton (?) with a rolled hem I think that’s called right?

3. This seems to be two pieces sewn together. Is there something between the layers?

Any general advice when choosing a fabric? I want a soft one to wipe my hands with and also clean my nose and my phone. Oh and yeah where do you buy your fabrics? I went to a fabrics store today, but I didn’t find anything like that.
