Choosing a sewing machine Sewing Machines Parts and Sales in Los Angeles

Hey all – I know there are a lot of reviews on sewing machines. I feel like I’ve graduated beyond my current machine, and would like something with more options. My first choice was a Brother SQ-9000 (because I am familiar with it and I have a friend with one who likes it quite a bit), but they apparently don’t make those any more. So here are the ones I was thinking about getting instead; I would love to hear peoples’ opinions about them.

I will mainly be using my machine for sewing LARP costumes, but I also have a lot of smaller projects on my to-do list. I would also like a machine that can handle upholstery fabric, and make even some thin pleather (although that may have more to do with the needle than the machine).
