Today I shortened this beautiful vintage pleated wool skirt. I really didn’t want to cut any of it off, but there was just no way it would look right on me at its original length.
I love how it turned out, and now I’m left with a piece of this gorgeous wool that is about 6 inches wide, and about 5.5 feet long.
Here is the finished skirt, the leftover strip, and also a closeup of the colours and textures (those autumnal colours just KILL me).
What would you do with this? I am considering turning it into some sort of cowl or infinity scarf by piecing it together and backing it in flannel, but I’m curious to see what it inspires in you!
Thanks for your ideas!
