Vintage Pattern Etiquette [hollywood 1628] Sewing Machines Parts and Sales in Los Angeles

So I lost an eBay auction with a lot of patterns where I mainly wanted one pattern, Hollywood 1628. I’m in love with the color blocking. Is there an etiquette to contacting the winner and asking if they can trace it for me? I’m just not at a level where I can see a dress and draft something like it.
