This may be distasteful but I am fairly new to cut and Sewing Machines Parts and Sales in Los Angeles

First off my name is Hyung Moon, I am an amateur at sewing and am interested in learning but I have an issue with diving into projects head first.

I want to know how should I prepare all the pieces of fabric and materials for a friend who knows how to sew a bit, I want to learn the steps into making a prototype Bomber Jacket.

I was wondering what the terminology is for the templates of each piece of fabric cut out for the sleeves, right back, left back, front right, front left, and then how drawing or sewing the liner onto the completed jacket.

There a lot of things I actually want to know for this project, some of the fabric questions pertain to the fabrics available at spoonflower.
What kind of fabric is best for blocking wind and water repellent? What kind of fabric is nice and thick for the liner? What steps I’d need to take to prepare wallet sized pockets on the sleeves, either front fabrics, a in-liner pocket under the right front flap?
