Still lost.. Sewing Machines Parts and Sales in Los Angeles

Hello, I read the wiki on sewing machine info, but I'm still lost on what to get. I'm new to sewing, and I'd like to make my own clothes, possibly start my own brand. I need a good, heavy duty sewing machine to start off with. Not sure yet if I'm fully commited to sewing so I'd like to be as cheap as possible. Sorry if this is too much. Thanks in advance!
