The weather in Springfield, MO has been great lately but fairly unpredictable. Some days it’s cold enough for a chunky sweater or a light coat. Some days you could wear a skirt or dress without tights and feel totally fine (or shorts, I just never seem to be able to find shorts that look good on me).
We’ve also had some pretty stormy nights lately. The kind where you wake up in the middle of the night and see flashes of lightning. I sort of love it once the initial terror wears off. 🙂Â
And while I’m on mixed message weather patterns and what not, can we all give a big round of applause to daylight savings! (Insert clapping emoji hands here) I could feel my mood immediately lifting once it started to stay bright after 5pm. Feels like I’ve got SO much more time in my day now. Wahoo!
Also, this is totally the kind of outfit I wore in high school. Part thrifted and part all-black. You might think I’m kind of edgy, but then you talk to me and I’ll start going on and on about how the new Muppets show is AWESOME and the illusion is shattered. Mixed messages man.Â

Throwing it to you, Elsie….
Ah yes – I like this mixed messages talk. Because having a defined style is good, but it’s even better to have that ooone piece that makes you go, “huh?”. Some call it keepin’ it fresh. I call it less pressure to always match.Â
Elsie’s Wearing: Dress/Dillards, Shoes/Converse (a gift from my grandma), Necklace and Bag/Madewell, Fur balls/Amazon, Sunnies/Pre To Post Modern Vintage in Nashville.Â
Welcoming these warmer/longer days with OPEN ARMS. It’s been so beautiful around here!Â
