Simplicity 1940s Vintage 8050: Good project for a begin Sewing Machines Parts and Sales in Los Angeles

I’m a complete novice, at best sewed a pillow cover and started working on a quilt. But I do have a sewing machine and an aunt who can help here and there.

But this is the perfect pattern for a cosplay I’m intending on doing this September.

So do you think this a project I could possibly tackle with little to no sewing experience? Also how long do you think such a project would take, and any tips?
