Should I buy a vintage model or new? (Beginner) Sewing Machines Parts and Sales in Los Angeles

I checked around stores and Craigslist and right now am debating between an old vintage machine or a Brother Sewing Machine XL2600. I feel like I don’t know enough about sewing to tell if I’d be able to use the vintage machine? Imgur. The seller lists it as “Remington Deluxe Automatic Zig-Zag Precision Sewing Machine (Model MG-1)”. The vintage machine is listed at $30 and the newer one goes for $80 usually. Would it be worth it to get the older one instead?
