Scissor repair/maintenance? Sewing Machines Parts and Sales in Los Angeles

I have a pair of singer scissors that a sharp and work well closer to the hinge but when fabric get to the tip of the scissors it just slips through and doesnt cut. Anybody have experience with bending scissors? I'm thinking maybe i just need to bend the tips more inward?
