S.O.S – Need serious help with adding pipping to outdoo Sewing Machines Parts and Sales in Los Angeles

I’m going to scream. I want to cry and rip my hair out and throw my sewing machine.

Someone please tell me what I’m doing wrong so I can get this project done.

My nanny boss asked me to remake her outdoor cushion covers. I didn’t think it would be a problem, so she buys all the fabric and drops off the pipping. Except its this corded welting and no matter what foot I try or settings, even after hours and hours of seam ripping, I cannot for the life of me get close enough to it so that it’s flush against the fabric.

I have tried 3 different feet. I bought a specific, adjustable pipping foot as well. I have tried flipping the pipping over and using the other side.

I’ve also pinned the crap out of it and the pipping keeps moving as I sew along, so it ends up 1/4 inch in and not along the edge of the navy fabric.

Please, please tell me what I’m doing wrong otherwise I’m going to have to waste this womans 200 dollars that she spent on supplies and tell her I can’t do this.
