[Question] I have a waistband ready to attach, but it&# Sewing Machines Parts and Sales in Los Angeles

I have a skirt, hemmed and ready, I have the waistband, interfaced and ready. The waistband, after sewing the sides, is now the exact waist measurment for the woman who will be wearing it. I need to attatch a invisible zipper but to do that I will have to take in about half an inch on each side, so is that avoidable?

Is there something I can do without having to re-do the waistband? (It’s my second time doing all three waistbands I’m doing for three skirts, so I want to finish already.)

Also the fabric is satin, so I’m already stressing out on working with that, haha.

I’m sorry if I sound dumb, I’m a trial and error gal but I’m running out of time and need help, please.
