[Question] Altering a swimsuit (1-piece into two? Tanki Sewing Machines Parts and Sales in Los Angeles

Last fall I picked up a $5 suit on clearance without trying it on. Normally I stay away from one pieces but this one was so fun and I guess I was feeling good.. Anyways I have a longer than average torso so of course it doesn’t fit me (certain things that should be covered are definitely not). This is exactly the one

How on earth can I make it fit? The zipper comes down so low that I probably cant just turn it into a two piece.. Can I? Could I add more fabric to cover the breasts, and increase the neck-tie lengths…? I’ve never worked with swimsuits before but I’m up for the challenge.
