How long are your private parties?

2-3 hours from start to finish

Do we bring our own food?

Yes if you would like to bring cake, drinks and snacks you are more than welcome.

What projects do we choose from?

Please remember not everyone sews really fast so the projects need to be for all skill levels. Here are a few ideas. Embroidery, Headbands, friendship bracelets, infinity scarves, pin cushions,  bow ties. basics, zipper pouches, alterations, upcycling, t shirt redo, 2d stuffed animals, baby bibs, burp cloths, crib sheets, veils, ring bearer, garter belts, decorations, craft night and suggestions are welcome.

Does everyone need to know how to sew?

Not necessarily we can help those that do not know and get them all set up.

Who will be instructing our class/party?

 Us the owners!! Tracy and Jesy

Do we bring or buy our own supplies?

 Yes, we can tell you what you need to have for each project. We carry most things at the shop and you get a discount. Supplies for use during our embroidery class are included although you may purchase the things you use to take home and make more if you like. We also have kits you can buy for classes as well.

How many do I need for a private party and what is the limit on students.

 You will need at least 4 students for a 2 hour party and 6-8 for a 3 hour party. Although we can take 12-16 for embroidery and hand stitching classes, as it is much easier.

Do we bring our own machines?

You can, or use one of ours. We have 5 available to use for free during your private party. We ask no vintage machines unless you know they work and know how to use it. We can teach you in a private lesson but we find these machines hold up the class.

How much does a private party it cost?

Depending on the project chosen it can range from $25-$35 per person. You can call us and we can work with your budget.

Can anyone come?

Yes, we are age friendly and gender friendly at Sew Dayton. Please remember sometimes children may be to young although it really depends on each child’s attention span. We have seen some 6 year olds sew great and some get bored and frustrated. Please use your best judgement.
