Need suggestions: What fabric type and stuffing to use Sewing Machines Parts and Sales in Los Angeles

I hope it’s okay to post this question here:

but I am kind of at a loss for what kind of fabric would be best.

Nice and soft to the touch, but also robust and washable, because, well, baby.

Also, what kind of stuffing/filling would be smart to give it volume that won’t end up completely flattened after a while?

I appreciate any suggestions.
