Making your own templates? Sewing Machines Parts and Sales in Los Angeles

Hi,

a while back I made a few plushies by following templates I found online and sewing them by hand. I’d like to make more of them, but I’m not really sure how to translate a concept or just something I’d like to make a plushie off into a template to cut fabric with, especially for more complex shapes and I was wondering if anyone had some advice on it or some resources about the matter?
