Machine Questions Help me decide between Janome 7318 Sewing Machines Parts and Sales in Los Angeles

Looking to purchase my first machine.

Janome 7318 was recommended as top mechanical machine.

When I got to the local shop, and was willing to price match the 7318 ($60 off). When I got there, the person there recommended me the 7330, and it is computerized which the reviewer didn’t cover for 11 mechanical machines.

However, I discovered there’s some features the 7330 that I liked, and wondered if they would be deal breakers. One big one is automatic threader. The others would be needle positions (beginner here, so I’m not sure what that means), 6 1 step button holes vs 4step buttonhole, and speed slider (to me that’s not much of a deal breaker as I’ve sewed costumes 18 years ago and can manage foot pedals just fine.).

Looking for craft projects to make for my son such as felt food, hemming my jeans (short people problems), to possible simple garments and simple quilting. I don’t think I’ll be doing embroidery or more complex quilting.
