All I want to wear for my wedding is a tulle(ish) skirt and a tank top. I would prefer it not be too “poofy” (so maybe tulle isn’t the right fabric), and could kind of care less if it’s hemmed perfectly at the bottom, or has a straight waist line or even fits perfectly. To be frank: I’m cheap! I’d rather put my blood sweat and tears into attempting to make the skirt than shelling out $250+ for something I’ll never wear again. (If it isn’t perfect, maybe I can get creative with hiding said imperfections with flowers/a belt/appliqués!) I feel like this kind of skirt can be made for relatively cheap, but do you all think a relatively inexperienced sewer (I have a Viking project runway machine my mom bought me ages ago, and have made things like curtains, and a skirt that never got the zipper…no idea how to use a pattern) could throw this together, and not end up spending the $250 on correcting mistakes? All opinions are welcome!
