I'm having a hard time figuring out the feed dog Sewing Machines Parts and Sales in Los Angeles

Hi everyone!

I’m pretty new at sewing so some terms are lost on me. I’ve been trying to figure out how to attach buttons using my machine. I found an awesome YouTube video to show me how, but they mentioned that I should lower the feed dogs on my machine. I can’t find any such button or dial that allows me to do that on my machine, but the machine came with the presser foot specifically for buttons, so I’m sure it’s possible. I have a Singer Esteem 2, if that helps. Can someone help me out?
