Ideas for no dart solutions? Sewing Machines Parts and Sales in Los Angeles

I just wanted to start a thread for non dart ideas for forming fabric around the body.

I’ve been draping with origami inspired techniques, and I am wondering what else is out there. Also, once something is draped, what are the next steps? Do you need a base first before draping to sew the outer garment onto? Facing? Bias tape?
