Help with sewing suede for a cloak Sewing Machines Parts and Sales in Los Angeles

I’m going to try and make a cloak for my husband for ren faire out of fake suede. The bolt says it’s 100% polyester, but the sign described it as micro-suede. It’s also backed with a black fabric lining (I’m assuming is also polyester). What kind of sewing needle would I need to use? A ball point, like you would for knits?

I’m new at this so if there is anything I haven’t given proper info for, let me know and I’ll try to add it.
