[Help] Quick thoughts on this machine? Sewing Machines Parts and Sales in Los Angeles

I'm looking to buy my first machine and after looking around my local classifieds for a while i found a Brother LS 1520. Used four times, brand new, 70$.

I've heard Brother/Singer make decent beginner machines, which is basically what I want. I'd be using it to hem/taper pants, shirts and other basic things. I'm hoping this would be able to work with some denim?

Any advice? Would this be a good machine for me?
