Help for a novice sewer looking for a new machine~ Sewing Machines Parts and Sales in Los Angeles

Hello!! I’m looking for some fellow sewing redditor advice.

I’m novice-intermediate at sewing (I’ve sewn a fair deal, but I have soooo much to learn!) who is currently using a Singer Prelude model 8280 (pretty sure. Can’t check right now but I’m almost certain this is the one) and I quite enjoy it! The reason I am posting here is because I’m looking into getting a computerized sewing machine- the kind that can do embroidery and such. I was hoping for one that can connect to my laptop.

I know lots of googling would come up with many results- which is what I have done, and the problem! I’m really not that familiar enough with the various machines and brands, and there’s such a wide range of computerized machines.

So, what I’m asking is, does anyone have any recommendations? Ability for embroidery is a must. Anything else, I’m pretty open to! Thank you so much for your help and advice, and thanks for reading. I really appreciate this 🙂
