Has anyone taken their sewing machine on a business trip? Sewing Machines Parts and Sales in Los Angeles

Next week, I’m taking a business trip to another state for a meeting, but I know that the evenings will be pretty empty. It’s in a small town with nothing to do (I’ve been before) and I’m driving there, so no luggage weight limit. I have a bunch of Christmas presents that need sewn…. Is it crazy to take my machine and sew in my hotel room??
