Bit of a note from Captain Obvious here, but I thought my machine was acting up for several weeks–missed stitches, birdnesting, horrible clanging noises, etc., and I tried every home maintenance trick I knew to get things back on track. Thought I’d have to haul it into a shop for repairs, so I just took a break on sewing for a while to save money. Turns out I’d just forgotten to change the needle for waaaaay too long.
