Do you sew to make things you need, or just because you Sewing Machines Parts and Sales in Los Angeles

Recently, I started sewing because I wanted to be able to make clothes for myself that I couldn’t afford or weren’t available to purchase. I’ve made two dresses that I love, and I’m having a lot of fun doing it, and already have more projects planned. I’m seeing, though, that pretty quickly, I’m going to end up with a huge wardrobe as a side effect of this hobby. Obviously this is not a “bad” problem to have, but I have limited space and an already pretty big closet full of clothes.

My question is, do you only make clothes when you (or someone else) “need” them, or do you make things all the time, just because you like to?

I love clothes and fashion, so for me, this is turning into a creative outlet where I can sort through fabrics and patterns and have fun envisioning future projects. I’m addicted to Spoonflower and have dozens of fabrics saved that I’d love to make something with, I just don’t need 789767 printed blouses/dresses/pillow cases/etc.

I’m curious what y’all’s thoughts are on this. Thanks!
