Darts hidden UNDER Pleats in a costume Sewing Machines Parts and Sales in Los Angeles

I’m helping my partner with her sewing project… I say that loosely, as she’s the seamstress, and I am… not.

My partner is quite skilled, but has a lot on her plate. She tells me she’s encountering a hard part of this cosplay costume she’s building, and I suggested some online research. Well, I’m hoping Reddit can help!

She’s making Elizabeth’s outfit from Bioshock Infinite. The pleats in combination with darts she needs to install. She doesn’t have a lot of time to play around and research. The fitting requires the use of darts, and since the costume doesn’t show any, she’s trying to hide them under the pleats.

Any resources we can reference for something like that??
