Can you sew a ball skirt to a pre-made corset? Sewing Machines Parts and Sales in Los Angeles

Hi there,
I’m a relative newbie in the sewing world, having taken classes in intermediate school (about 16 years ago…) and nothing much since then. I was just wanting to get some advice about the viability of sewing a big poofy princess-style skirt but paring it with a pre-made corset (the kind you might get from Corset Story, for example). Does anyone have some resources about how to do this?
