Best books for making patterns? Sewing Machines Parts and Sales in Los Angeles

I’ve had a bit of experience making garments from patterns and altering them some for the effect I want. I’m looking to better understand how to go from vision to product like a designer/tailor would and would like some suggestions on some recommended books and other resources that can help me make stuff from scratch. Searching for the best pattern making books gives too many results and none agree with each other so that’s why I’m turning to threddit.
