Am I wasting my time? Sewing Machines Parts and Sales in Los Angeles

Heyas all.
My wife has worked since she was 13 years old to pay for her school uniforms, and has never had a truly decadent luxury ‘thing’. I am having a custom gown made for her.
I’ve been searching for the silk from which dreams are made. Solidified sunset, the blue hour in fabric form, a heavy sheen of indigo and nostalgia with a magic iridescence.
Does it exist? I’ve looked at a couple of charmeuse, and they seem too thin, but the sheen is perfect. 4-ply is thick and buttery, but lacks the sheen of the charmeuse.
Is there such a creature as 4-ply charmeuse? Can anyone point me in the correct direction?
I’m not worried about cost; if I have to save up for an extra month to achieve perfection, that is the point.
