[Advice on non project] ♡♡♡Can my favorite skirt Sewing Machines Parts and Sales in Los Angeles

Okay, so I love love love this skirt. But unfortunately what I love about it is also what’s causing the problem. The fabric is SOOOO incredibly soft & lightweight, I love it! But unfortunately somehow along the way holes stared appearing (I’m guessing because it’s so thin). Right now, even with wearing shorts underneath…well…it’s not wearable. Even if it were I’d be afraid of making the holes bigger.

I don’t think patching it would look good at all. I have an all black skirt that’s almost identical that I could maybe attach underneath somehow. Even though it would take away from me being able to fully enjoy the comfort of the soft fabric, I’d still be saving my skirt. But I have no clue how I would do that successfully or if there’s a better way to save it.

The thing is I know as much about sewing as I know about the anatomy of a duck.
So I’m really hoping that you wonderful people of the sewing subreddit can help me figure out how I can save my favorite skirt!
