A little help from my more experienced sewers. Sewing Machines Parts and Sales in Los Angeles

[ad_1]

Hello fellow sewers. I have been tasked with creating a few Medieval style tunics. I would like to create tunics that look like these One
Two
Three

I was hoping someone with a little more experience in pattern design can help me understand how to apply the color change at the collar. I cannot seem to get my head around how to do the seam at the collar…. Its one of the few aspects of putting together the tunic I cannot find any instructions for. And also how to add the color change around the groin and knees in photo 3. If anyone can point me in the direction of a pattern/tutorial or explain it to me in very rudimentary terms I would be very very VERY appreciative.

Also, as a side question, all of the patterns I have found for these tunics use about 4 gores, is this really necessary? I do not want these tunics to turn into dresses. Ok, thank you for your help I look forward to hearing what suggestions you have.

Thanks!
