Anyone have an awesome maxi skirt pattern to recommend? Sewing Machines Parts and Sales in Los Angeles

Maxi skirts seem like a fairly simple project to pull off, but I have some semi-pricey knit fabric (around $15/yard; a big investment, for me!) and I don’t want to mess up! So I’m wondering if anyone can recommend an easy-to-follow/beginner pattern – I’m thinking a simple a-line with an elasticized waist… But I’m also contemplating a little gathering at the waist, or maybe pockets??

I’m pretty much plus-sized, as well, if that would affect anyone’s recommendations!

Any good tutorials on sewing with knits would be welcome, too – I’ve primarily only sewn woven cottons up til now.
