Help with Binding Sewing Machines Parts and Sales in Los Angeles

This is a machine embroidered wall hanging. The sections are only basted to the backing, so those join lines look pretty rough right now. Also the outer edges curl up a bit in the picture. They are not tacked down to anything and will be flat when everything is complete. For size, the cutting mat is a 1" grid.

I don't want to proceed further until I know how the edge will be finished. I want a very clean edge and the Vs where the scallops meet are a sharp angle. I have considered a number of possibilities, and just can't get my mind wrapped around this. I will appreciate any suggestions.
