Using unorthodox fabrics [X-post for /r/fabrics] Sewing Machines Parts and Sales in Los Angeles

I’ve come across this blackout curtain fabric that I love the texture of.

Kinda raw leather, kinda suede

Being blackout curtains, they have an odd backing to them but I’m all about full linings anyway. What do you think? Would it be too…not breathable? I want to use it for a badass long coat.
