First time Sewing/Cosplayer needs help. Sewing Machines Parts and Sales in Los Angeles

I’m in need for a starting point and potentially patterns for a cosplay I’m making from scratch. I have been practicing making patches and sewing ripped old shirts back together so I’m feeling confident enough to start my cosplay but don’t know where to start. So I’m looking for a good starting point. I have all the materials and even got a dress form (which would also like to know how I bulk it to my size).

And don’t worry about things like the belt, shoulders, or head. I got that covered. It’s the sewing I’m struggling with.
