Need help coating a cotton to look shiny! Sewing Machines Parts and Sales in Los Angeles

Thank you for any help. I am a costume Maker and I’ve tried about 40 products now. I need to make a matte cotton shiny to look exactly like this. The costume Maker described it as “foil coated” after it was made. It’s shiny but not metallic.

It’s a 2×2 basket weave cotton and I have the exact material that’s not shiny. Everything I try makes it hard or not shiny enough.

Ideas I have that I have not tried (input please?)
1. Heating wax and painting it on.

1. Fabric spray paint- high glad gloss

2. Metalic black paint

I’m at my wits end, I’ve tried so many products and spent so much money… The material I bought was 400$ so I want to avoid trying a ton more stuff. I’m at your mercy Reddit. Thank you
