Construction Help: Front Band as Buttonstand? (Leather Sewing Machines Parts and Sales in Los Angeles

I’m tackling a zipped leather jacket for the first time, with a pattern from Lekala.co. (http://www.lekala.co/catalog/jackets/4296#model)

The instructions specify a button stand. However, in the pattern pieces provided, there are none marked button stand. There IS a front band pattern piece. The instructions only mention a front band towards the end of the construction, saying to “add decorative stitches.”

In the above picture, the pieces are laid out left to right: Side Front, Front Band, Center Front, with a Front Yoke in the upper corner. It almost looks like the seams of the Front Band match up with the seams of the Side Front, but how would that work?

Should the front band piece be the button stand?
