We have written our goals for 2016 and one thing we really wanted was to add some fresh new classes to our calendar. We have been asking you, friends and the public what classes would you be interested in taking and we listened.
Quilting has definitely been on our radar. So we made a class for the easiest quilt you can make. A quilt from a charm pack, that is a precut 42 piece pack multi colored quilting fabrics. We will turn our little quilt into a simple tote bag.
Another new one is how to make pot holders. This holiday Tracy decided to make pot holders for all of her holiday gifts and found all the best ways to make them. In this class you will learn what it takes to make them thermal, quilt them and sew the binding around them. If you have a walking foot bring it!
The tooth fairy pillow will be our new hand stitching class. It will be all ages so family and friends can all come together. These make great gifts and will be a fun class!
Not on the calendar but will be soon is the Dottie Angel Frock. Modern Granny style is so cute! This will be a full day class and the dresses will need to be cut out before the class.
The Leprechaun hat will also be a new addition to our sewing 101 classes. All supplies included in this little class, OH, OH, all ages too.
Everyone loved Luis’s bow ties so much that we bought patterns and hardware for our first ever bow tie class. This one comes with a free pattern!!
Last we are bringing back that old very popular pillowcase dress. It will also be listed as soon as possible for March 24th just in time for easter.
I’ve been obsessed with sewing since childhood. I started stitching custom dresses, dolls and and teaching in 2004. Dresses and garments are my favorite things to sew, I’ve made over 600 garments and still sew every day. I have a back ground in early education, teaching children and adults to sew also makes me happy.
