Ok, so I know this was a bad idea, but now I am committed. I have never made a quilt before and would consider my sewing skills to be beginner/intermediate. My most successful project has been a (BALLER) assymetrical patchwork apron. (oh shoot, why not show it off 😀 http://imgur.com/LnRPfG0)
SO, I have made two big mistakes. Those being:
I picked out a collage-ish random template on pinterest because I liked the way it looked without even thinking about how to sew it together.
I was not diligent in my square cutting and they are not exact. They are pretty straight though and I did NOT skip the interfacing so that part is okay.
Here is what I got so far (and the template): http://i.imgur.com/5IbbXPC.jpg

I know that is a terrible picture but I just wanted to give you the general idea, I don’t expect specific advice but rather: how would you cheat those which don’t line up into fitting together, and what kind of grouping/blocking could I possibly use to sew this together using my machine?
I really hope some of y’all can help me out here! Seriously, any scrap of advice will be infinitely appreciated because, as you may have gathered, I have pretty much no idea what I’m doing hahaha. But I really want to make this a give-able gift by Christmas. It’s okay if it’s pretty wonky but I do want to keep the full graphics as much as possible.
